I'm going to be walking into business, looking to ask for food, product, money, or a temporary job, oh, and a mutually beneficial, spontaneously and newly formed relationship. Yee haw. Walking into a dollar store to ask for a roll of tape for my camera or a pack of cookies for my belly won't come free, but maybe if I tell him Ill sweep his floor, clean his aisles, and help clean up for him at closing time, plus hope he sees me and my crap and uses his discretion to realize I'm not going to A) steal from him or B) Just believe the story I'm telling him about this trip and the video, and allow me to help him and he in return can help me. A $2 roll of tape for 15 minutes or 5hrs, what ever he wants or thinks is fair, and I in turn will hopefully get a quick meal fix, or a fiver to add to my emergency reserves.
Fair? Crazy? Uneccessary? Necessary?
